DAK figures and 2 officers

These days I've been busy painting the figures you can see below. The general and adiutant come from Tristar set (#35006), while DAK officers are from Neo Grade, Doug's Original and Warriors. They were painted with Vallejo acrylics.

Winter halftrack, Battle of the Bulge

In the begining the kit looked like a crap but I decided to bring it into life. So this is the reason why so much parts were added. I tried to bring it to current standards and (I hope) I managed.
I upgraded this old Tamiya's kit with Blast Model tarpaulin, resin wheels w/chains from Black Dog set, Dragon's lights, tools, side cases and front bumper (I' don't know the name of this round part), some resin jerry cans and other stuff from my spare box. The machine gun was replace for RB Model metal one.

The base is 21x17cm. It's quite good - not to big and not too small, just properly for the part of the building (MK 35 product), some ground and 2 figures from Alpine range. The majority of the details were prepared by myself but e.g. telegraphic pole is from Verlinden set and the cat is from Tamiya.

To resume, building the kits from the beginning is much more nicer than rebuilding but those old kits are delicious bases to play them with. I have another kit to rebuild and this will be an old Chevrolet, so keep your fingers crossed for me!

M2A1 Halftrack, "Junk Shop", 2nd Armored Division, Normandy 1944

As I promised  - the halftrack. Maybe it was more than 2 weeks but during this time I managed to build 2 kits and several figures. This vehicle is one of them :-)
The basic kit was built OOB. I added:
- Black Dog stowage set (some of the parts needed Milliput to fill the gaps but I can recommend it);
- RB Model gun barrels (masterpiece metal work made in Poland);
- New World Miniarutes figures w/Hornet heads (very nice figures but they could have more diverse poses, especially the sitting guys);
- Archer decals (this product doesn't need any recommendation);
- Eduard PE ammo belt (nice effect but this is only the PE).
The kit was painted with Vallejo paints, the weathering was made with the MIG chemical products.
That's all.
